Privacy Policy

How information is handled on this service

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to the free Amidakuji web application (the “Service”) provided by SHINBLOG TOOLS.

2. Information we process

  • Ladder settings and draws: Player names, results, and sound preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage when available. These settings are not ordinarily transmitted to our server when you play.
  • Contact requests: We collect a nickname (required), email address (optional), and message (required). Standard server access logs may record an IP address, access time, and browser or device information.
  • Form protection: A temporary session cookie and submission rate limit help prevent abuse.

3. Why we use information

  • To read and respond to inquiries, investigate issues, and improve the Service
  • To prevent spam and malicious form submissions
  • To maintain security and reliable operation

Providing an email address is optional. We cannot reply directly if you do not provide one.

4. Sharing and external services

Contact requests are delivered to the operator via email and may be handled by our email and hosting providers. We do not sell personal data to third parties. Information may be disclosed where required by law.

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand page views and broad interaction events such as starting a draw, changing settings and sharing the app. Analytics events do not contain player names, custom result labels, nicknames, email addresses, or contact form messages. See the Google Privacy Policy for details. For visits identified as originating in Japan, analytics storage is enabled for standard GA4 measurement. Analytics storage defaults to denied in other regions unless a valid consent choice changes it. Advertising storage and personalization remain denied by default and are governed by applicable consent choices. Cookieless measurement signals may still be sent to Google. On the Japanese and English app pages, we use Google AdSense Auto ads. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, measure performance, prevent fraud and, where permitted, personalize advertising. Advertising services may process access, device, browser and related information. We do not intentionally send the player names, custom result labels or contact form text to the advertising tags. Please see Google’s advertising privacy information. Where required for visitors in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) must be configured to collect valid choices. Visitors may also manage cookies in their browser and review consent choices through any consent controls made available on the published site. Actual ad and consent displays depend on region and AdSense account settings.

5. Retention and security

We retain inquiries for as long as reasonably necessary to handle them and prevent misuse. You can remove locally stored ladder data by clearing your browser’s site data. We take reasonable security measures, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Your requests

To request access, correction, or deletion of information where applicable, please use our contact form. Without a return address, we may be unable to reply or verify your identity.

7. Updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in features, the Service or applicable law. Revisions will appear on this page.
