How we handle information in SEAT POP!.
Information used
Your classroom layout, entered names, assigned seats, front-row preferences and seating results are saved in your browser’s local storage. The seating tool does not send this data to our server. Please follow your school’s policies; you can enter student numbers or aliases instead of real names.
Local storage and deletion
The app saves information so you can resume using the same browser. Use “Clear” inside the app or remove the website data in your browser to delete it. Clear the data after using a shared device. Private browsing may not retain saved data.
Contact form
The contact form collects a message (required), and a name and email address (both optional). The submitted details are emailed to the site operator and used to handle inquiries, respond where possible, and prevent spam. Provide an email address if you would like a reply.
Cookies and server logs
The contact form uses a session cookie to verify legitimate submissions and limit repeated messages. The hosting server may retain access logs, such as IP address, request time and browser information, when you visit the site.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand site usage and Google AdSense to display advertisements. These Google services may use cookies and similar identifiers and may process usage information such as device and browser characteristics, page visits and interactions, in accordance with their policies. Our custom GA4 events include shuffle completion, seat swapping, printing, fullscreen mode and public-link sharing, but never send student names, rosters, seating assignments or the contents of the contact form. Sharing and printing
X, Facebook and LINE sharing controls share only the public app URL, not student names or seating charts. Printing and PDF export use your browser’s print function. How print jobs and saved files are handled depends on your device and services.
Handling and disclosure
Contact information is used to address inquiries and removed when no longer needed. We do not sell personal information to third parties without consent, except where required by law. Providers needed for email delivery may process submitted details.
